GURGAON: Gurgaon police have invited applications for summer internship programme for students on topics related to cybercrimes, cyber security, cyber laws & police management. The internship programme would starting from May 13.
A senior police officer said they had invited applications from engineering and management students. The programme aims at promoting cyber security awareness and enhancing detection and prevention of cyber-crime cases. The internships will be led by senior cops with the assistance of industry professionals experienced in fraud forensics, banking technology, business analytics and quality processes.
“Interns will be offered choice to undertake various projects such as net-banking frauds, credit and debit card frauds, social networking frauds, email hacking. Duration of internship will be 6-8 weeks. Interns will get an understanding of cyber laws, police processes, functioning of police stations, traffic management and police control room management”, said police commissioner Alok Mittal.
We have received a good response from the students of IIIT Allahabad, Amity University, Kurukshetra University, MDU Rohtak, Lingayas University, Rajasthan University & Vellore University, Chennai. The candidates would be interviewed and short listed this week, added Mittal.
