Labour announce apprenticeships and minimum wage


Ed Miliband has announced plans that will require big firms to train up an apprentice every time they bring in a worker from outside the EU. He says it will be in contrast to the “one in, one out”mantra of this government.

The “one in, one trained up” policy alone will create up to 125,000 new gold standard apprentices over the course of the next parliament, Labour says.
